Transforming complex economic data into clear, engaging visualizations that tell compelling stories.

I'm able to create visualizations that aren't just nice to look at but also prompt the user to explore the data in a more meaningful way. This paticular chart explores the correlation between Bitcoin price and energy consumption over time.
Often the data we are interested in isn't neatly filed into a spreadsheet, which is why it's improtant to be able to know how to creatively use unstructured data. I've created a scraping algorithm using python which pulls information from Wikipedia to create an interesting visual on the age of US presidents.
Lines a points are great but sometimes we need to look at data through a different lens such as a political one. This chart demonstrates my ability to utilize geographic data in tandem with subregional population data for Kyrgyzstan.
I enjoy writing about complex policy stories that interest me on my blog policy pulse and elsewhere. My piece "Race, Riches and Crypto" explores the claims that cryptocurrency is a tool for financial inclusion.
I'm currently a graduate student at LSE specializing in economic policy. I'm an economist by training but I'd call myself an "economics storyteller" with a passion for data analysis and visualization.
Recently, I contributed to blockchain policy development at the Bank for International Settlements, working on public-private blockchain payment systems. Specifically I worked on Project Agorà which explored new approaches to cross-border payment systems. Right now I'm collaborating with the Bank of England through my LSE capstone on their AI strategy.
I'm interested in working in economic consulting, central banking, or policy research positions. When I'm not studying, you'll find me exploring London's museums or running through Victoria park. I grew up in Alabama and have spent a lot of time in New Orleans, my favorite place in the world. I'm happy to connect about job opportunities or share my grad school experience.
